Gen. John Archer Lejuene’s likeness after having been awarded the Bronze Star during a ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps June 16. Gordon received the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement in connection with combat operations against the enemy while serving as the Executive Officer, 2d Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Wing Support Group 27, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) from Feb. 1 to Aug. 27, 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
