Around Bolling

July 4
Freedom Fest and Spirit of Services will be held at Bolling Green Park at 3 p.m. Free food, activities and entertainment for all ages. Fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. All military, DoD civilians and retirees are invited. Call 202-767-1371 for information.

A Pancake Breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Washington Dining Room. Cost is $9.95 for members, $4.95 for children 6-10 and free for children under 5 .

An adult Bible Study class will meet every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel Center. All are invited to attend. For more information, contact the Chapel Center at 202-767-5900.

Youth soccer registration begins and runs through Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Participants must be 5 years old when the league begins. Games and practices will be held at the Youth Soccer Field from September to early November.

Bundles for Babies program for parents expecting a new baby will be conducted from 1 to 4 p.m. at Bolling AFB Airmen & Family Readiness Center. Expectant parents will learn about financial considerations, infant parenting challenges, child care costs and other parenting resources. A Movie Under the Stars sponsored by Outdoor Recreation will be shown from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Slip Inn parking lot. Open to everyone. Movies are rated PG.

A Home Alone Class will be held at the Youth Center from 6 to 8 p.m. For youth ages 10 and 11, this class is a requirement to stay home alone. Sign-up deadline is July 9.

July 14-18
‘‘Power Lab Vacation Bible School” will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bolling Chapel Center. This is Bible learning that all kids preschool through sixth grade can see, hear, touch and even taste. Register now after each worship service. Volunteers are needed.
