Bethesda’s Recreation Center Offers Discounted Weekend Sporting Events
The National Naval Medical Center’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation InfoCenter is inviting staff members and their guests to various weekend sporting events.
On Saturday and Sunday the AT&T National Golf Tournament, hosted by Tiger Woods, takes place at the Congressional Country Club. Active duty and retired service members, their dependents, and Defense Department civilians are invited.
The Bowie Baysox will take on the Erie Seawolves Sunday at 6:05 p.m. at Prince George’s Stadium. Tickets are available at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation InfoCenter. Due to a limited supply, only two tickets are available per patron.
The Washington Mystics take on the San Antonio Silver Stars at the Verizon Center Sunday at 1 p.m. Free tickets are available at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation InfoCenter. Each person will be allowed two tickets. For more information, call the InfoCenter at (301) 295-04343.
Bethesda’s Family Support Office to Help Separating Members Transition
The National Naval Medical Center’s Fleet and Family Support Office is inviting separating and retiring service members to a Transition Assistance Program seminar Monday to July 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is to be determined. The seminar will focus on various job Web sites, resume writing and interview techniques to land a job after leaving military service.
