If you’re interested in the whereabouts of the noble Soldiers of the Old Guard, the fabled Fife and Drum Corps or the awe-inspiring musicians of ‘‘Pershing’s Own” this Independence Day, look no further. Here’s where you can catch some of the Army’s ceremonial best:
On July 3, The U.S. Army Concert Band will play at the Harris Pavilion in Old Town, Manassas, Va., at 7:30 p.m.
On Independence Day, The Old Guard will perfrom in the following places:
The Fife and Drum Corps will play at 10 a.m. at the National Archives in D.C. during the Declaration of Independence reading ceremony.
Corps members will join Old Guard Color Guard Soldiers at George Washington’s Fabulous Fourth at 11 a.m. at Ferry Farm in Fredericksburg.
A marching platoon from the Honor Guard Company and members of the Fife and Drum Corps will be marching in the D.C. Independence Day Parade at 11:45 a.m., starting from Constitution Ave. and 7th St. NW.
At 8 p.m., the Presidential Salute Battery and Joint Color Guard will take part in the Fourth of July celebration at the U.S. Capitol.
At 11 a.m. on July 5, the Fife and Drum Corps will march in the Independence Day Parade in Laurel, Md. The parade will start at 6th St. and Montgomery in Laurel.
