Museum Seeks Volunteers
The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum Association is seeking volunteers to help with its programs. Volunteers are needed to be greeters, help with children’s programs, assist with administrative tasks, and perform other duties.Call Gus, Brenda or Chuck Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at 301-863-1900 for more information.

Mail Center hours change
The hours for Pax River’s Official Mail Center have changed. They are now 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. It is located at 47179 Vaughn Road.

Mustang golf tournament
The Southern Maryland Mustang Association will hold its eighth annual Golf Tournament Thursday, July 17 at Cedar Point Golf Course. Cost for this event is $70 and includes an all-you-can-eat barbeque and drinks. The shotgun start tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers as well as for closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt made and hole-in-one.

Every year the Southern Maryland Mustang Association donates thousands of dollars to good causes such as Toys for Tots and the Wounded Warrior Program. For more information about how you can help a good cause call Lt.j.g. Tim Saxon at 301-757-1365

Services at St. Nicholas Chapel

Church Services at St. Nicholas Chapel on base are:

Protestant — Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday Worship, 11 a.m.; and Sunday Evening Bible Study, 5 p.m.

Catholic — Rosary at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m., Mass at 8 and 9:30 a.m., CCD at 11 a.m., Adult Study Hour at 11 a.m. (Sundays); 11:35 a.m., Mass (Monday-Thursday).

Vacation Bible School — July 28-August 1, 8 a.m.-noon. Call 301-342-3811 for more information.

Clothes, electronics recycling
The Recycling Center reminds everyone that old textiles, clothing and leather goods can be recycled on base. The program has collected over 177,000 pounds of these items for sale and reuse since 2001. All clothing should be dry and placed in plastic bags. Pillows and mattresses are not acceptable.

In addition, personel electronic equipment such as computers, keyboards, stereo components, cameras and televisions up to 27-inch can also be recycled.

Both textiles and electronics can be brought to the Recycling Center on Whalen Road (Bldg. 604). Textiles, but not electronics, can be brought to satellite recycling sites on Shaw Road (Bldg. 600) Cedar Point Road (Bldg. 310) and across from the NEX⁄Commissary Complex.

Household batteries may also be recycled. Your building hazardous material or facility coordinator can provide assistance.
